Caroline J. Carter is a company driver with King Freight Lines. Caroline started with highway construction, then moved to long haul, first with Brookville Carriers, then with King Freight Lines, in 2000 she began teaming with her partner and ran reefers for Carbra Tran out of Listowel, On, as O/O. Due to family commitments she got out of a truck for a year, spent that year in the Yukon,then moved back to Nova Scotia, returning to King Freight. In total Caroline has 31 years in the field, she always remember getting her license on her birthday.
Caroline joined WTFC in 2017, both for the camaraderie of other women in the industry and the joint information and advice available from others including personal safety. Caroline has been a coach/trainer,(Commercial Safety College, Debert, NS) and has tried to encourage other women to join the industry.
One part of the industry that Caroline has a strong feeling for, is the protection of drivers, their gear and their loads, while out on the road, at customers and especially in the truck stops. She was once grabbed in a stop, and she now makes it a priority to watch and keep herself in safe surroundings.
The Thompson’s are Canadian country recording artists from Southern Ontario. Founded in 2012, this family group consists of Danny Thompson, son Jordan, and daughter Danni (Danielle). The Thompson’s bring a unique history to the composing table with roots in country, rock, and pop, giving their music a fresh, new feel. This family band has astounding chemistry both on stage and in the studio, creating music that appeals to country and non-country music lovers alike.
